About One Step
Founded in 2019, One Step Counselling and Therapies C.I.C. is a not-for-profit Community Interest Company based in Neath, Wales. Our passion is to provide qualified, confidential, accessible, affordable, and non-judgemental therapy to anyone who needs to take that one step towards a more positive future.
In 2023 we grew into One Step Counselling and Therapies C.I.C., expanding our reach with online counselling available UK-wide, a community hub, and a community garden in Neath — all either free, donation-based, or heavily subsidised. All our counsellors are fully insured, supervised, and individually registered with the NCPS or BACP.
What We Do
Your donation directly supports these services, helping us reach more people in need across the UK.
Low-Cost & Free Counselling
Qualified, confidential counselling for everyone — low cost or free depending on individual circumstances. Supporting mental health, depression, grief, PTSD, addiction, and more.
Warm Community Hub
A welcoming, safe space in the heart of the community where people can come in from the cold, connect with others, and access support without any barriers.
Community Garden
A shared green space where community members can grow, learn, and connect. The garden brings people together and supports wellbeing through nature and collaboration.
Food Parcels
We provide food parcels to individuals and families in need, ensuring that nobody in our community goes without, and removing barriers to accessing our other services.
